Former Back Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has urged Ghanaians not to chastise Otto Addo over his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Africa\u2019s all-time top scorer in the history of the World Cup believes it will only be fair for Ghanaians to make comments about the squad after the Black Stars\u2019 opener against Portugal in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Otto Addo has faced huge backlash following big-name omissions from his final squad like Joseph Paintsil, Jeffrey Schlupp, and Felix Afena-Gyan.<\/p>\n

In a Twitter post, the former Ghana captain called on Ghanaians to back the Black Stars to succeed in the tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone has shared his or her opinion about the Black Stars, [the] 26-man squad is out now. So, what we have to do now is to support those in camp now,\u201d Gyan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf u have any comments, wait till after the first game of the tournament. But for now, let\u2019s pray for the team to deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n
