Toke had filed for divorce on March 9, 2016 on the grounds that Maje committed adultery. Justice Morenike Obadina, while delivering judgment held that Ayida filed an answer to the petition but did not give oral evidence in support of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #222222; font-family: &quot;PT Serif&quot;; font-size: 18px; margin: 0px auto 26px; overflow-wrap: break-word;\">She said the position of the law was settled as pleadings did not amount to evidence.<br style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" \/>\u201cPleadings on which no evidence was led are deemed abandoned. Therefore, Ayida\u2019s evidence is deemed abandoned.
