{"id":2145,"date":"2024-05-22T21:28:33","date_gmt":"2024-05-22T21:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ghnewsbay.com\/?p=2145"},"modified":"2024-05-22T21:28:33","modified_gmt":"2024-05-22T21:28:33","slug":"sarkodie-appointed-brand-ambassador-of-firstbank-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ghnewsbay.com\/?p=2145","title":{"rendered":"Sarkodie appointed brand ambassador of FirstBank Ghana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">FirstBank Ghana has appointed\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asaaseradio.com\/sarkodie-buys-akwaboahs-lighthouse-album-for-ghc3000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sarkodie<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0as\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a brand ambassador<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the head of retail banking at FirstBank Ghana, Allen\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Quaye<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The bank recently changed its name from FBNBank Ghana to FirstBank Ghana\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in a bid<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to strategically align with FirstBank\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Group\u2019s<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0identity, values, and vision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The name change aligns with the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">bank\u2019s<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0commitment to its\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asaaseradio.com\/menzgold-customers-petition-ag-to-investigate-alleged-sale-of-nam-1s-confiscated-properties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">customers<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, stakeholders, and the community it serves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The name change is\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">being undertaken<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0by the FirstBank Group across its subsidiaries in Africa and Europe to align the bank with its parent brand so it can enjoy the brand equity and strong heritage built by FirstBank Nigeria in its over 130 years of banking experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Speaking on the\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Asaase Breakfast Show<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0on Tuesday (21 May), Quaye said the selection of Sarkodie as a brand ambassador is strategic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cW<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">e have also brought on board Sarkodie. So Sarkodie is a great brand\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0of course, FirstBank is also a great bank.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It\u2019s<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0an old brand\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has been refreshed over 130 years<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">has stayed relevant to the communities\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">over the years<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"stream-item-size\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cS<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">o these are two great brands that are coming together.
