Ashanti and her partner and fellow music star Nelly, are expecting a child. \u201cNelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,\u201d Us Weekly reported on Monday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/span>But, representatives for Nelly and Ashanti declined to comment on the report to The Times and did not immediately reply to a request for comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The speculations started over the weekend when Ashanti and Nelly went to an event in St. Louis, the hometown of the \u201cRide With Me\u201d rapper, together. As seen in a TMZ video, Ashanti and Nelly affectionately touched the \u201cRock Wit U (Awww Baby)\u201d singer\u2019s stomach at the event.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

If the rumors are confirmed to be true, Ashanti would be pregnant with her first child and the \u201cHot in Herre\u201d rapper would be expecting his third \u2014 he has two grown children, Chanelle and Cornell Haynes III, from his previous relationship with Channetta Valentine.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Before splitting up in 2013, Nelly, 49, and Ashanti, 43, had an intermittent relationship for almost 11 years. In September, Nelly addressed allegations about the couple\u2019s renewed romance in an interview with Rasheeda from \u201cLove and Hip Hop\u201d on her \u201cBoss Moves\u201d TV show. The couple had been the subject of romance rumors for months prior<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, we cool again,\u201d he said in a clip, which was re-posted by the Shade Room. \u201cI think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn\u2019t anything that \u2026[was] planned. I think we\u2019re both pretty much doing what we do.\u201d<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

He added that time and distance appeared to help him and the \u201cWhat\u2019s Luv?\u201d singer get to a better place.<\/span><\/p>\n
