Veteran Kumawood actor Nana Ofori Agyemang famously known as Oboy Siki has revealed that the first set of Ghanaians who migrated to Germany was the reason why Germans installed CCTV cameras in their shops.
According to Oboy Siki, the decision to install CCTV cameras in their shops was because the Germans realized Africans, especially Ghanaians they had employed were stealing their stock.
“The story of Ghanaians who travelled to Germany in the olden days was that most shops didn’t have CCTV cameras, it was Ghanaians who made them install some in those shops. They looted things and hid them in their dresses left, right and center. It was a daily thing they go to do then they brought them back home. That was what Ghanaians in Germany were doing. They looted every shop”, Oboy Siki alleged.
The actor made this statement on Ghanaman TV during a studio discussion while commenting on a recent incident involving a National Fire Service person who was caught on camera lifting items and also allegedly stole a mobile phone from one of the customers who had come to buy some items.
According to Oboy Siki, what the Fire Officer did wasn’t so strange therefore the Service should be able to pardon him for that.
