LGBTQ is more spiritual than physical says Sonnie Badu

Ghanaian Multiple award-winning gospel singer and pastor of Rock Hill Church in AtlantaSonnie Badu, believes that knowing the plight of the LGBTQ+ community is key to understanding their needs.

He added that the emergence of LGBTQ+ practices stems from rejection from parents and self-insecurities.

Speaking to Keely-Jade Brewer on the Between Hours show on Thursday (19 September) Badu said, “The first thing they need is love.”

According to the preacher, the majority of those who engage in same-sex relationships have been abused or raped.

“So, it’s got to do with serious transfers of spirits. So, right there, you know that deliverance has to take place.

“So you show them love and then you take them through counselling, and then you take them through deliverance and that’s how God has used us to help a lot of people in Atlanta,”

Explaining why some individuals feel misgendered, he said, “When some young men are born, their mothers expect them to be a girl, and out of disappointment, they feel rejected.”

“Number two, some of them are either abused sexually and it’s the strangest thing where they get most of them who become such were abused by an uncle.

He stated that LGBTQ is more spiritual than physical, which explains the lack of understanding.

“That’s where you have to understand that it’s more spiritual than physical because I do counselling and if a girl is abused or raped, sex is something she wouldn’t want to do.

“You’d have to literally counsel her through because I’ve counselled women who are married but are struggling in that area because they have a past trauma.”

He added, “I’ve been able to let them understand that this is not who you are. You became it for a reason and most of them happen to them because of single parenting.”

Badu explained that most single parenting results in LGBTQ alignments.

“Let’s say you have a son who you’ve left their father or out of whatever you have to raise that child alone. All that the boy sees is a woman dressing up, a woman making up, a woman wearing high heels.

So, we’re feeding his visual cortex and once the visual cortex is fed, information is shot to the mind.

“So, they get in touch more with their feminine side, everybody has a male side and a feminine side. One is subdued, the other is not.

“So, when you understand this, you will understand how to help them or handle them,” he explained.
